Montblanc presents the ballpoint pen tribute to Honore de Balzac with the following features:
The 2013 Writers Edition pays homage to Honoré de Balzac, a French writer and playwright who contributed to enriching 19th century world literature with around 100 works, including novels and plays. Inspired by 19th century Dandyism and the elegance of Balzac, the body of this writing instrument - in black resin, gray lacquer with guilloché finishes - recalls the classic morning coat worn by Parisian gentlemen. While the enlarged shape of the pen recalls the grandeur of Balzac, the upper part of the clip, embellished with a turquoise lacquer, symbolizes the author's walking stick. The gold-finished platinum rings reflect the different social classes that emerged in early nineteenth-century French society, a central theme in Balzac's works. Furthermore, the author's initials are finely laser engraved on the rhodium-finished 750 gold nib.
